On February 8, 2023, at approximately 11:44 a.m., Mobile Police officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment in the 200 block of East Rue Maison in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 32-year-old Jabarie Dwayne Thomas inside the apartment, suffering from a gunshot wound. Thomas was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
