On March 7, 2023, 16-year-old Dallas Bee "Cowboy" Johnson was fatally shot in the Drew Court Housing Complex in Sylacauga, Alabama. Officers responding to reports of gunfire found Johnson in the roadway, where he was pronounced dead at the scene. An autopsy was scheduled at the Alabama Department of Forensic Science in Montgomery to determine the exact cause of death.
