On July 9, 2021, 46-year-old Shane Leon Melton was found deceased in his Sylacauga, Alabama, home. The discovery followed a reported domestic assault at his residence on the 2800 block of Overhill Circle. Authorities determined that Melton had suffered a fatal gunshot wound.
Melton was born on September 13, 1975, and was predeceased by his mother, Norma Melton. He is survived by his sister, Rebekah Lear; brothers, Rick Smoot and Shawn Melton; and his children, Lucas, Alyssa, and Jordan
