On March 29, 2023, at approximately 2:30 a.m., 16-year-old Jada Mahogany White was fatally shot in the 3000 block of Avenue F in Birmingham, Alabama. Responding to multiple ShotSpotter alerts, West Precinct officers discovered Jada lying unresponsive on the sidewalk, suffering from a gunshot wound. A second female juvenile victim was found nearby with a graze wound; she received treatment at the scene.
