On October 12, 2021, 30-year-old Nia Peoples was found fatally shot in Birmingham, Alabama. At approximately 7:35 a.m., officers from the West Precinct responded to reports of a woman lying unresponsive in the front yard of a residence in the 1600 block of 8th Avenue West.
