On May 7, 2023, 57-year-old Harrison "Sonny" Hayes was fatally shot in Huntsville, Alabama. At approximately 4:40 p.m., Huntsville Police Department (HPD) officers responded to a shooting call in the 4100 block of Knight Road, where they discovered Hayes with gunshot wounds; he was pronounced dead at the scene.
