In the spring of 2014, a night that should have been filled with the joy of a birthday celebration at the Baker Civic Club in Baker, Louisiana, turned into a scene of tragedy. On March 28, 15-year-old Kendal Dorsey, a male student from Glen Oaks High, was fatally shot. The gunfire that erupted that evening also claimed the lives of 18-year-old Diontrey Claiborne and 15-year-old Marcell Franklin, creating a wave of shock and grief throughout the community.
