On May 13, 2023, 33-year-old Diane Renee Fitts was fatally shot in a drive-by incident at her residence on the 9000 block of County Road 3 in Marion Junction, Alabama. The shooting occurred around 8 a.m., when multiple 7.62 shell casings were found at the scene. A family member attempted to transport Fitts to the hospital, but she succumbed to her injuries before arrival.
