On May 14, 2023, at approximately 12:02 a.m., Montgomery Police Department officers and fire medics responded to reports of gunfire in the 5500 block of Atlanta Highway. Upon arrival, they discovered 28-year-old Jarquis Willis suffering from a gunshot wound. Willis was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
