In the quiet community of Bon Secour, Alabama, the life of 30-year-old Alemcy Saint Louis, a Black/African American male, was tragically cut short on Friday, September 15, 2023. On that day, the Baldwin County Sheriff's Office responded to a call about a possible shooting at a residence. Upon their arrival, deputies made a grim discovery in the living room: Mr.
Saint Louis was deceased, having sustained two gunshot wounds.
The subsequent investigation quickly pointed towards a suspect, 25-year-old Tahjaneka Christina Armstrong of Loxley, who was an acquaintance of the victim. An extensive search for Armstrong ensued. The day after the shooting, Baldwin County patrol deputies located her at a hotel in Foley. She was initially arrested on an unrelated warrant. During questioning regarding the homicide, Armstrong made statements that connected her to the shooting of Alemcy Saint Louis.
Following her incriminating statements, Tahjaneka Armstrong was charged with murder. A neighbor of the victim, who was the one to call 9-1-1, reported that there were no signs of a struggle or argument before the shooting. Investigators also indicated that there was no immediate evidence of a fight. When she was apprehended, authorities say she had what appeared to be the murder weapon, a. 22 caliber pistol, in her possession and admitted to the killing.
During her bond hearing, Armstrong's bond was set at $150,000. The case proceeded through the legal system, and on Thursday, September 11, 2025, a jury found Tahjaneka Armstrong guilty of the murder of Alemcy Saint Louis. Her sentencing was scheduled for November 17 of the same year.
