Telik Ryheem Nevels, a 21-year-old man from Bessemer, Alabama, was fatally shot on September 24, 2023, in an incident that left the community in shock. The shooting occurred in the early morning hours when Bessemer police responded to reports of gunfire in a residential area. Upon arriving at the scene, officers discovered Nevels suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate efforts to provide medical assistance, he was pronounced dead shortly after emergency responders arrived.
