In the late hours of a Sunday in November 2023, a baby shower in Marion Junction, Alabama, turned into a scene of violence that resulted in the death of Charles Edward Prewitt. On November 26th, an altercation escalated to gunfire, fatally wounding Prewitt and injuring another individual. The Dallas County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene, where they found two victims of the shooting.
