On November 26, 2023, a tragic incident occurred in Marion Junction, Alabama, during a baby shower at a private residence on Dallas County Road 189. The gathering was disrupted by gunfire, resulting in the death of 32-year-old Charles Pruitt and serious injuries to 42-year-old Aaron McKinley, a respected former educator in the Dallas County community.
