Jamycah Ramone Frazier Turner, a 12-year-old African American boy, was fatally wounded in what authorities have described as an accidental shooting. Preliminary investigations by the Birmingham Police Department suggest that the young boy was visiting with friends and
family when he came into possession of a firearm. It is believed that while handling the weapon, it discharged, inflicting a fatal wound. First responders found Jamycah in an alleyway suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest. He was rushed to Children's of Alabama, but tragically, medical professionals were unable to save his life, and he was pronounced dead on the same day.
