In the early morning hours of Thursday, March 5, 2015, the life of 23-year-old Thomas Deal was cut short by gunfire in Washington, D.C. The shooting occurred at approximately 12:57 a.m. in the 1400 block of Cedar Street, Southeast. When officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene, they found Deal suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of emergency medical personnel, he succumbed to his injuries.
