On May 26, 2024, at approximately 8:30 p.m., Mobile Police Department officers responded to a report of a body found in an abandoned house on the 1800 block of Duncan Street in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered the deceased body of 21-year-old Jermont Lamar inside the derelict structure. An autopsy later revealed that Lamar had died from a fatal gunshot wound, prompting authorities to initiate a homicide investigation.
