On April 15, 2022, at approximately 12:04 p.m., Mobile Police officers responded to a shooting incident in the 900 block of Cloverdale Drive in Mobile, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 49-year-old Christopher Cornelius "Chris" Brunson outside his residence, suffering from a gunshot wound. Brunson was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries and later succumbed to those injuries.
