On July 21, 2024, 19-year-old Jakoby D. Royal was fatally shot in Mobile, Alabama. The incident occurred on Helveston Street, where Mobile Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting. Upon arrival, they discovered two individuals, including Royal, deceased from gunshot wounds.
