On the evening of October 5, 2024, at approximately 10:36 p.m., deputies from the Marshall County Sheriff's Office responded to a reported shooting at a residence on Foster Drive in Scottsboro, Alabama. Upon arrival, they discovered 37-year-old Anthony Eric Blansit outside the home, suffering from a gunshot wound. Medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
