On a summer evening in Washington, D.C., tragedy struck the life of Omar Basil Lindsay, a 42-year-old man. On Sunday, July 3, 2016, at approximately 9:46 p.m., the sound of gunfire shattered the night in the 300 block of V Street, Northeast. Responding to a report of a shooting, officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrived at the scene to find a grim discovery in a nearby alley.
