On August 26, 2016, Raeshard Blue, aged 40, was shot and killed in a tragic double homicide that also claimed the life of another individual, Treyvon Johnson, in Washington, D.C. The incident occurred late at night at around 11:33 PM in the 300 block of 34th Street NE.
