On May 19, 1984, Alaska State Trooper Troy Lynn Duncan, aged 34, was fatally shot during a manhunt near Manley Hot Springs, Alaska. The incident occurred as troopers pursued Michael Alan Silka, a 25-year-old drifter and Army veteran, suspected of multiple murders in the area.
