On November 9, 2014, 28-year-old Leticia Ann Faller of Butte, Alaska, was fatally shot in the head. The incident occurred near the intersection of the Old Glenn Highway and Bodenburg Loop in Butte. Alaska State Troopers responded to a 911 call placed by Benjamin E. Wilson, who reported the shooting. Upon arrival, they found Faller critically injured and lying in a vacant lot near her vehicle. She was airlifted to Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage, where she succumbed to her injuries.
