On January 5, 2016, in Anchorage, Alaska, 40-year-old Shannon Duke and her 18-year-old daughter, Chloe, were tragically shot and killed in their home. The incident occurred when Shannon was resting in her bedroom with her 3-year-old daughter nearby. Her 15-year-old son, Corbin, retrieved a firearm from his room and fatally shot Shannon in the back of the head as she slept.
