On February 16, 2019, at approximately 8:54 PM, Anchorage Police responded to a shooting at the Barratt Inn, located at 4610 Spenard Road in Anchorage, Alaska. Upon arrival, officers discovered 40-year-old Javon Diggs, an employee of the hotel, suffering from gunshot wounds inside the building. He was declared deceased shortly thereafter.
