Constable Darrell Edward Lunsford Sr., aged 47, was shot and killed on January 23, 1991, while on duty in Nacogdoches, Texas. Lunsford, who served with the Nacogdoches County Constable's Office - Precinct 3, was conducting a routine traffic stop on U.S. Highway 59 near Garrison when he discovered marijuana in the trunk of the suspect's vehicle.
