Deandre Baines, a 27-year-old male from Houston, Texas, tragically passed away on May 3, 2022. He was found on the stairway of an apartment complex at 10965 South Gessner Road, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention from Houston Fire Department paramedics, he was pronounced deceased at the scene. The Houston Police Department Homicide Division took over the investigation.
Initially, there was no known motive or suspect in the case.
However, surveillance video footage from the scene led to the identification of a possible suspect, described only as an unknown male. The HPD released the video to the public, urging anyone with information to come forward. Detectives A. Hernandez, A. Ferrell, and C. Flora were assigned to the case, and the investigation continued to gather more information about the suspect.
As of now, there have been no arrests made in connection with Deandre Baines' death. The HPD and Crime Stoppers have been actively seeking information from the public to help identify and locate the suspect. His funeral service was held on May 14, 2022, at St. John Missionary Baptist Church in Houston, followed by his burial at Houston Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Pearland, Texas.
