Corey Jones, a 25-year-old male of African American ethnicity, tragically died on November 20, 2019, in Texas. The incident occurred in northeast Houston, where Jones was shot and killed by Jonathan Clay Helaire, 46, over a dispute regarding stolen property from the home they shared. According to the Houston Police Department, Helaire pulled out a pistol and shot Jones in the head at close range before fleeing the scene.
