In the autumn of 2021, the life of Shantelle Wright, a 40-year-old female, was tragically cut short in a wave of gun violence that swept through a New Orleans neighborhood. On the evening of Thursday, November 11, 2021, the New Orleans Police Department was alerted to a grim discovery in the 7th Ward. Arriving at the intersection of North Rocheblave and Allen streets, officers found Ms. Wright inside a vehicle, suffering from at least one gunshot wound.
