On November 11, 2021, Shantelle Wright, a 40-year-old woman from New Orleans, LA, was tragically shot and killed in the Seventh Ward. The incident occurred around 4:30 PM when the New Orleans Police Department responded to a medical call at a home in the 2300 block of St. Anthony Street. Upon arrival, officers found Wright unresponsive and pronounced her dead at the scene. The preliminary cause of death was determined to be a gunshot wound.
