In the late summer of 2017 in New Orleans, a 22-year-old woman named Cierra Mykeisha Green became a victim of a violent act that cut her life short. On the evening of Wednesday, September 6, 2017, Cierra, a mother to three young daughters, was fatally shot while she was seated on a sofa inside a home. The incident also left a man, 25-year-old Terry Jones, critically injured; he was discovered on the living room floor and succumbed to his injuries days later in a hospital.
