Black/African American male Abraham Lincoln Midgett III, 54, was killed in the quiet, predawn hours of March 20, 2015, in Anchorage's Fairview neighborhood. Just before 4 a.m., reports of gunfire drew officers to the area of East 12th Avenue and Hyder Street, where they found the 54-year-old unconscious in the parking lot of Alexander's Body Shop.
