On May 24, 2020, in Anchorage, Alaska, 19-year-old Andrew Alston was fatally shot following a dispute with his neighbor, 26-year-old David Dumpson. The incident began earlier that day when a dog belonging to one of Alston's friends scratched Dumpson's wife's hand, prompting a police response. This event escalated tensions between the neighbors.
