In the first hours after the shooting, officers detained a suspect at the scene while the crime-scene team processed the area. Even so, days later police emphasized that no arrests had been made. The case remained open, with investigators asking anyone with information or surveillance footage from the vicinity to come forward, and noting the incident did not involve domestic violence.
