On December 3, 1998, in Anchorage, Alaska, 45-year-old Julius Dubouse, an African-American/Black male, was killed when his apartment at 5601 Taku Drive was set ablaze by an arsonist who hurled an accelerant through a back window. Firefighters reached the scene in the early morning hours to find the residence engulfed; Julius Dubouse died at the scene as the inferno consumed the unit before it could be controlled.
