In the remote village of Togiak, Alaska, on July 11, 2019, a tragic event unfolded in which a 61-year-old Native American man named Samuel Brito was found fatally wounded. The man, male and of Indigenous heritage, lay motionless in a residential area after apparent gunshot wounds.
