On July 4, 2016, 30-year-old Jorge Rea-Villa was fatally shot during a barbecue at a residence on the 4000 block of Lore Road in Anchorage, Alaska. Witnesses reported that during the gathering, Trayvon Morrissette, who was acquainted with Rea-Villa, entered a bathroom, drew a 9mm handgun, and shot Rea-Villa nine times. Following the shooting, Morrissette fled the scene in a tan sedan.
