On December 13, 2019, in Fairbanks, Alaska, 46-year-old Clayton Nelson was fatally shot during an attempt to retrieve his stolen vehicle. The incident began the previous evening when Nelson, accompanied by friends, confronted Brian Talbott, the alleged thief, to reclaim his car.
