On January 14, 2021, 18-year-old Brett Allen was fatally shot in Fairbanks, Alaska. The incident occurred near the intersection of the Old Steese Highway and Goldstream Road, where a verbal altercation escalated, leading to Allen being shot multiple times. He was transported to Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Following the shooting, authorities arrested 43-year-old Anthony Peterson and his 18-year-old son, Aaron Peterson, charging both with first-degree murder. ...
