A 32-year-old Alaskan Native, male named Joseph W. Evans was shot and killed late in the evening on October 23, 2021, in Anchorage, Alaska. He was found suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds at approximately 8:27 p.m. inside a second-floor apartment at the Backpackers Annex on Eagle Street. Despite immediate discovery and medical attention, Mr. Evans died at the scene.
