On October 21, 2020, 48-year-old Duane Fields was fatally shot at the Chelsea Inn Hotel in Anchorage, Alaska, where he both resided and worked. The incident occurred around 10:22 p.m. when Fields intervened to help another employee break up a fight in the hotel's hallway.
