On March 28, 2023, Anchorage Police Dispatch received a call at 10:36 AM from a 29-year-old woman expressing intentions to harm herself. Officers located her in a vehicle parked at 3074 Mountain View Drive, with her 3-year-old son, Kai Vue, present. Shortly after the first officer's arrival, the woman used a firearm to injure herself, also causing injury to Kai.
