On December 9, 2018, in Anchorage, Alaska, 19-year-old Davon Marquece Dodge was fatally shot during an attempted gun sale that escalated into violence. The incident occurred on West 29th Avenue, where Dodge and another 19-year-old, Daniel L. Bender Jr., met to discuss the transaction. An argument ensued, leading to both men shooting each other. Neighbors, alerted by the gunfire, discovered both individuals deceased at the scene.
