On October 26, 1996, in Anchorage, Alaska, a tragic incident unfolded involving four-year-old Corey Paul Ely. His father, Paul Ely Jr., was embroiled in a domestic dispute with his estranged wife, Christina Ely. That day, Anchorage Police Officer Dan Seely responded to a call at the apartment where Christina and her children resided.
