On June 22, 2024, 30-year-old Black male Farrel Siulua was fatally shot in Anchorage, Alaska, during a violent incident that occurred near a homeless encampment in the area of East 40th Avenue and Fairbanks Street. The shooting took place in the early hours of Saturday morning, around 1 a.m., and was reported by officers who heard gunfire in the vicinity.
