A 24-year-old Black man, Marcus Dushun Cosby Jr., was found dead on the morning of March 11, 2016 in Eagle River, a community in Anchorage, Alaska. He was discovered outside a residence on the 16000 block of Centerfield Drive, following a welfare check request at about 3:30 a.m. Cosby had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
