A 34-year-old White male, Grant Fowler, was shot on December 3, 2019, at the Black Angus Inn in Anchorage, Alaska. He was shot in the upper body around 3:15 p.m., transported to a hospital, and was declared dead shortly after arrival. The incident was officially classified as a homicide by Anchorage Police.
Police early in the investigation released images of two persons of interest. One was identified as 40-year-old Brittney D.
Johnson, described as about 5'6”, weighing 130 pounds, with blonde hair and green eyes— believed to have information relevant to the case. The other was an unidentified male seen in surveillance imagery.
Detectives later zeroed in on a suspect, 39-year-old Brant Marshall. An arrest warrant was issued charging him with second-degree murder and manslaughter in connection with the death of the 34-year-old victim.
Following a search, Brant Marshall was located and arrested on January 28, 2020, in the United States Virgin Islands by the U.S. Marshals Service Fugitive Task Force. He is to be extradited back to Alaska to face the charges.
