White/Caucasian male Justin Labrado, age 51, was fatally shot on January 9, 2022, in the remote community of Point Lay, Alaska. North Slope Borough police were called to a home around 4:20 p.m.; when officers arrived, they found the 51-year-old man with a gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Point Lay sits roughly 300 miles southwest of Utqiagvik on Alaska's North Slope, where the borough police provide local law enforcement.
