White/Caucasian male, age 19, Dean Moon was a teenage deckhand aboard the 58-foot salmon seiner Investor, which tied up in the small port of Craig, Alaska, over Labor Day weekend in 1982. The boat's owner-skipper, Mark Coulthurst, had brought his family and four young crewmen—including Dean Moon, 19—to town to offload fish and celebrate the end of the season.
