On September 7, 1982, 19-year-old Jerome Patrick Keown was among eight individuals tragically murdered aboard the fishing vessel Investor near Craig, Alaska. The victims included the vessel's owner, Mark Coulthurst, his pregnant wife Irene, their two young children, and three other crew members. The assailant, believed to have used a .22-caliber firearm, executed the victims before setting the boat ablaze in an attempt to destroy evidence.
