Murdered

On August 22, 2023, in the village of Alakanuk, Alaska, 20-year-old resident Kobe Cook was fatally shot. According to Alaska State Troopers, Cook entered a local residence and initiated a physical altercation with an adult male present. During the confrontation, 19-year-old Josiah Chikigak, also in the home, discharged a firearm multiple times, striking Cook.
