On January 23, 2016, in the village of Kokhanok, Alaska, a tragic incident occurred involving two young boys. While playing video games, an 11-year-old boy discovered an unsecured .22 caliber rifle in the home. Unaware of the potential danger, he handled the firearm, which discharged and struck 5-year-old Kadin Tige Mann. Kadin was immediately transported to a hospital in Anchorage, where he succumbed to his injuries the following morning.
